English 4390: World Mythology
 
This course will be offered a third and final time under the rubric of 4390 before being sent to the coordinating board for approval as an upper level offering by the Dept. of English.  We will study mythology and the human venture from Sumeria and Babylonia through Egypt and Assyria.  After that we will begin our studies of Greek and Roman mythology followed by a look at Chinese and Indian myth.  We will finish our studies with a review of Scandinavian, Viking, and Celtic myth.
