Course Goals:  English 1301 aims to make writing easier and  more interesting to you, to help you shape your writing to accomplish specific purposes for specific readers,  break writing down to manageable tasks, practice the basic formal conventions of the essay, gain practice in writing for proficiency and become better editors of your own writing and that of others.   

Course Description:   You will review the writing process, including such elements as audience analysis, invention, drafting and revising.  Practice in expository techniques and attention to readings.
